We are open every day MGP 2022


We are open to all, 7 days a week 9.30am – 5pm with last admissions at 4pm.

The following limitations will apply due to disruption of MGP schedule:

  • Café will be closed on Race days - Sunday 23rd August, Friday 26th, Saturday the 27th and Monday the 29th August
  • Cafe will also close on contingency practice race sessions used - Wednesday 24th August, Thursday 25th and Sunday 28th August, if it is announced these sessions are being used please note if use is cancelled just before a planned closure cafe will still remain closed as cannot get staff or prep done in time if a last minute decision is called to call off contingency 
  • 20% discount will be applied to day admission on Race days when no cafe service, non-race days usual admission applies and full cafe service offering hot and cold menu
  • There is unlikely to be talk times or opening of Lemur walk-in enclosure due to limited volunteer availability during MGP racing days 


No Cafe service on Race Days - 23rd,26th, 27th and 28th (also 24th, 25th and 28th if contingency racing announced as going ahead) August.

How do I get to/leave the Park when roads are closed?


You can access the Wildlife Park car park with a vehicle by using the old railway line from the Ballacrye road. A temporary sign will mark the access route on the Ballacrye road - please use this track carefully and drive slowly as you may encounter traffic or people coming the other way. 



Can I get to the Wildlife Park by bus?


Between Saturday the 20th August to Monday 29th 2022 (inclusive so for 10 days) Services Do not serve the Shelter at the Wildlife Park - Buses Travelling to Ramsey Stop at the car park Entrance.


Buses travelling from Ramsey towards Kirk Michael and Peel DO NOT stop at the Wildlife Park during this period.

From this direction you need to get the bus to Ballaugh and cross over the road or walk to Sulby (its about a 10 minute walk and may not be suitable for small children or those with mobility issues)

Do I need to book?


No - just turn up you can pay at the gate, we are open 9.30 am to 5pm, last admissions 4pm.

The entrance is to the right-hand side of the shop, where you can speak to the shop/reception staff through a window. You now only exit via the shop.
